What Pup Notes does

Built around the work trainers do between sessions, with the rest of the business in the same place.

  • Session notes

Speak after a session, then review AI drafts of your private notes, a client-ready summary, homework from your own library and exercise scores. Nothing is shared until you accept it.

  • Homework check-ins

Clients tap a link in a text or email to say how practice went, with no login. You get a plain summary of what they reported.

How it works

From the end of a session to homework done, in three steps.

The client portal on a phone: one homework exercise to do for Bella, turn-and-go for five minutes twice a day, with instructions and a due date.

  1. Talk through the session

Record a voice note when the session ends, in the car or at the door. No typing on the spot.

  2. Review and send

Check the drafted notes, client summary, homework and scores. Edit anything, then send the summary and homework to your client.

  3. Clients practice and check in

Clients get their homework by text or email, with a link to the client portal, and tap to report how practice went. You see who reported practice before the next session.

Questions

When does Pup Notes launch?

We’re building it now and aiming to launch around the end of 2026. Waitlist members hear first, and we may invite some of you to try parts of it before then.

How much will it cost?

$29 a month for one trainer, with every feature included. Each additional trainer is $15 a month, and admin and front-desk seats are free. Texting includes 300 message segments per trainer each month, shared across your practice, with optional extra packs.

What is the founding-member offer?

The first 100 practices that subscribe keep $29 a month, and $15 for each additional trainer, for as long as their subscription stays active.

Is there a free trial?

Yes: 14 days, with no card needed.

Does the AI send anything to my clients?

No. The AI writes drafts only. You review and edit them, and nothing reaches a client until you accept it. Pup Notes doesn’t give veterinary or medical advice.

Who is Pup Notes for?

Private-lesson and behavior trainers in the US, working solo or in small teams, including in-home trainers and trainers who run group classes. It isn’t built for daycare, boarding or grooming businesses.

Can I bring my existing clients?

Yes. Import your clients and dogs from a spreadsheet (CSV file). Early customers get hands-on help with the move.

Will there be a phone app?

Yes. Trainers get an app for iPhone and Android as well as the web app. Clients use a web portal, with nothing to install.

What happens to my email address?

We use it only to email you about Pup Notes. It’s recorded with our analytics provider, PostHog, until we move the list to an email service. We don’t sell it, every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can email privacy@pupnotes.com to be removed.

Is Pup Notes available outside the US?

Not at launch. Pup Notes is launching in the United States first.
